Las Olas Resort
We left Boquete and made our way to the Pacific Coast, enjoying a pleasant drive
until we reached the outskirts of David, where the roads became narrower and bumpier
than expected. I had anticipated better road conditions since we were heading to a resort.
Upon arriving, we were greeted by sweltering heat and a nearly empty parking lot.
After checking in, we found that the off-season meant we were among just a few
other couples at the resort. The beach, with its striking black sand, added to the
warmth of the day. We received wristbands to identify us as paying guests, which were
later exchanged for different ones for dinner and breakfast. Dining outside, we
enjoyed stunning views of palm trees, the ocean, and a breathtaking sunset, all
while the soothing sound of the waves lulled us into a deep sleep for over eight
hours. The next day, we planned to visit a bird refuge before heading back to our
next destination, El Valle de Anton.
